Betting without the Favourite
|
A relatively new type of bet is the 'Without Favourite' bet. If you think that the horse that you fancy won't beat the favourite, you can still get a good odds with this type of bet.
Because your horse doesn't have to beat the favourite, the price will be slightly reduced compared to the Starting Price (SP). A good bet if you fancy a horse but you think it might get beaten by a quality favourite.
Using this method, if your horse finished 1st you still win. But if it finishes 2nd, beaten by the favourite, you also still win.
